CHOIR
Description: Caruso Middle School Choral Program gives students an opportunity to express their passion for vocal music, learn quality choral repertoire, and improve their vocal technique through singing in an ensemble.

Description: Non-auditioned, mixed choir for 6th Grade students. Sing and perform various styles of 2-3 part choral repertoire.

Activity Dates: Year-long activity. Rehearses Fridays 3:02pm-3:42pm. Separate concert dates involved.

Description: Auditioned, mixed choir for 7th & 8th Grade students. Sing and perform various styles of 3 part choral repertoire.

Activity Dates: Year-long activity. Girls rehearse Mondays @ 7:10am-7:52am/Boys rehearse Wednesdays 7:10am-7:52am. Separate concert dates involved.
HOMEWORK CLUB
Description:Homework club offers students an opportunity to finish their homework in a quiet, structured setting. Regularly there are also 8th grade peer tutors on hand ready to assist attendees. Peer Tutors are set up by Mr. Tomer and Miss Gold. They are selected/recommended as a result of their dedication to school work, their ability to work well with peers, patience, kindness, and overall work ethic.
Who can join:Homework club is FREE and open to any student who needs a quiet atmosphere–there is no need to sign up ahead of time.
Activity Dates:In the afternoon there is a late bus which students can ride to get home after doing their homework. Homework club will start on Thursday, August 25th. The club meets in the mornings and the afternoons in either Mr. Tomer’s room (E-1) or Ms. Gold’s room (E-6).

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Description:Volleyball is a team sport played by two teams on a court divided by a net.The object of the game is for each team to send the ball regularly over the net to ground it on the opponent’s court, and to prevent the ball from being grounded on its own court. Today there are more than 24 million Americans who play volleyball. There are 800 million players worldwide who play Volleyball at least once a week.
Who can join:Volleyball is offered to both 7th and 8th grade girls during the fall season and both 7th and 8th grade boys during the spring season.
Practices/Games:Practices are held daily after school and sometimes before school. Usually each practice runs for an hour and a half. A detailed practice and game schedule will be provided for all participants.
SOCCER
Description:A fun and interactive sport that is coed for both 7th and 8th grade.
Who can join:That means any boy or girl in 7th or 8th grade can tryout for the team.
Practices/Games:Tryouts are Monday(8/29) and Tuesday(8/30). Practices will vary depending on the day of the week.
